ApexVision S1 Image Processing
The TU635S incorporates Guide's ApexVision S1 image processing architecture, developed to enhance thermal image clarity, definition and overall viewing performance.
Advanced processing works alongside the high-resolution thermal detector to improve contrast and preserve finer details across the image.
This is particularly beneficial during longer-range observation, where the combination of higher sensor resolution and advanced processing can provide greater detail around detected heat signatures and surrounding terrain.
High-Resolution 640×512 12μm Thermal Sensor
At the heart of the Guide TU635S is a 640×512 thermal detector with a 12μm pixel pitch.
The higher-resolution sensor provides increased detail across the thermal image, helping users distinguish subjects and surrounding terrain with greater definition.
Combined with 15mK NETD thermal sensitivity, the TU635S can detect subtle temperature differences within a scene, helping maintain useful image quality in challenging weather and low-contrast environments.
A 50Hz frame rate provides smooth thermal imagery while scanning or observing moving subjects.
35mm Lens & 1800m Detection Range
The TU635S features a 35mm objective lens, providing a strong balance between field of view, magnification and longer-range observation.
Paired with the high-resolution 640×512 thermal detector, the optical system provides a stated detection range of up to 1800 metres.
This combination makes the TU635S well suited to observing across large properties and open terrain while retaining a wider viewing area than higher-magnification, longer focal-length thermal optics.
2.8×–22.4× Magnification
The Guide TU635S provides 2.8× base magnification, giving users a relatively broad initial viewing area for locating and observing heat signatures.
Magnification extends up to 22.4×, providing considerable flexibility when closer examination of a distant subject is required.
The combination of lower base magnification and a high-resolution 640×512 detector makes the TU635S particularly versatile for transitioning between scanning and more detailed observation.
Wide Field of View
The TU635S provides a field of view of approximately 11.8° × 7.1°, or 21 × 12 metres at 100 metres.
This relatively broad field of view allows more surrounding terrain to remain visible while scanning, helping users locate heat signatures across larger areas.
Combined with its 22.4× maximum magnification, the TU635S provides flexibility for both wide-area observation and closer inspection.
Hyper-Light Image Processing
Guide's Hyper-Light algorithm works alongside ApexVision S1 to enhance image contrast, reduce unwanted noise and bring out finer thermal detail.
The processing system is designed to provide a clearer, more defined thermal image across varying environmental conditions.
Shutterless 3.0 Technology
The TU635S features Guide Shutterless 3.0 technology, designed to minimise image freezing and audible clicking associated with conventional thermal calibration cycles.
This allows for smoother and more continuous viewing during normal operation.
A shutter module is retained for startup calibration and operation in extreme temperature conditions to help maintain optimal image quality.
Ergonomic Focus & Zoom Controls
The TU635S uses an ergonomic control arrangement designed around quick access to focus, zoom and commonly used functions.
The focus wheel and zoom controls allow adjustments to be made intuitively while maintaining a comfortable operating position.
1920×1080 AMOLED Display
The Guide TU635S features a 0.49-inch 1920×1080 AMOLED display, providing a clear and detailed view of the thermal image.
Multiple thermal colour palettes are available, including White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Green Hot, Iron Red, Blue Hot and Sepia, allowing the image presentation to be adapted to different environments and user preferences.
A -5 to +5 diopter adjustment allows the eyepiece to be fine-tuned for individual users.
Up to 8 Hours Battery Runtime
The TU635S uses a multi-battery configuration consisting of two built-in 18650 batteries and one external 18650 battery.
The system provides up to 8 hours of operating time, supporting extended periods of field use.
The scope also supports USB-C charging and USB 2.0 connectivity for convenient power and data access.
Video, Audio & Wi-Fi Connectivity
The Guide TU635S supports video and audio recording, allowing thermal observations to be captured directly through the device.
Built-in Wi-Fi functionality provides wireless connectivity with compatible external devices for supported viewing, sharing and device functions.
IP68 Weather Protection
With an IP68 protection rating, the TU635S is designed to withstand exposure to dust, water and challenging outdoor environments.
Its specified operating temperature range of -20°C to 50°C provides reliable performance across a broad range of environmental conditions.
Quick-Release Scope Mount Included
The Guide TU635S includes a quick-release scope mount, providing a convenient mounting solution straight out of the box.
Quick-release mount scope tube torque: less than 2.5N·m / 22.13 in-lb.
